Hack612 is virtual hackathon for middle and high school students. Participants can build a website, app, or other technology to better the community we live in today, encouraging students to think creatively and to facilitate community service in the future.

Eligibility

1. Must be a current CHS student (2020-21).

2. Must have an invite.

Requirements

The current objective is a virtual hackathon to help students brew new projects to improve the quality of virtual school. Help their classmates or teachers handle the challenges of online school. Whether it’s an all-in-one organizational tool for your peers or a new and improved BBCU.

Judging Criteria

  • Design
    Final product shows thought and effort in how it is laid out behind the scenes and in the final version.
  • Creativity
    Final project is unique.
  • Final Product (how it relates to the problem)
    Fully functional product with strong impact, can be applied to real-life and is, or is almost, a final product.
  • Execution
    Execution has outstanding runtime and code is efficient where applicable (ex: printing something 10 times separately is much less efficient than using a for loop).
